Alex W. Milne is an exploration geologist and researcher with over forty years of experience, and a documentary photographer with a particular focus on mountain environments and the people who live and work in them.
He is a Fellow of the Geological Society, an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society and a member of the Alpine Club, and is the author of several books on Himalayan geology and photography.
His photographic work spans the Alps, Ethiopia's Omo Valley and India, alongside long-running personal projects and the mountain-focused archive at mountain-photography.net.
